As always Beto, you are spot on, and your delivery is just right. Why you’re not the Governor of Texas is beyond me…what an American treasure you are! Thank you for your continued commitment to our country! 💛🇺🇸💛

It’s because Texas is gerrymandered to the maximum degree! He should have won.

It’s because Texas is a deep Red state and most Texans so far approve of Abbott, actually, but O’Rourke was his strongest challenger of his 3 and he was Cruz’s too. TX hasn’t elected a Dem the longest statewide of any state, Beto’s 48.3% in 2018 is the best a Democrat has done in Texas post 1994 and the best since 1988 for Senate (his 2022 result looks top line awful until you realize that’s the closest race of Abbott’s career since 1996 and also that Abbott is more popular than Trump in the state as well as that he had a 55% approval rating— also that is the best Gov result since Ann Richards).

And 55% of Texans approved of him to 45% disapproving back in 2022-- he's the worst, pure evil, but the fact he is the most popular person in the state reflects on the majority of the state.

Beto deserves a chance in a not Red climate like in 2022, he could break through if given a fair shake in 2026 imo and finally end the drought of losses for Dems in the state since 1994, 30+ years now imho.

The fact he did better even in a solid defeat than Abbott's last opponent in a Blue Wave year or the one before that, in a light Red Wave year with a backlash against Biden/Harris mood only saved by abortion elsewhere (did not matter to most Texans or Floridians), tells me you give him a second Trump midterm on ballot and he could finally win.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I live in a very red area and most of my neighbors did not vote for him or approved of hot wheels but we ARE gerrymandered. They are in the process of doing g the same with the entire America. We are a testing ground for draconian laws and election interference.

You’re in a Blue Bubble, go to Wikipedia and check out the objective facts or the CNN and MSNBC polls. Abbott was *very* popular in 2022, not sure if he just free fell now that said in 2025 based on what I just saw.

“Abbott had a strong approval rating on election day, with 55% of voters approving to 45% disapproving”

It’s not gerrymandering, most Texans sadly loved the man then is why they sent him back- not that they necessarily hated Beto. That has changed, Abbott is down 24 pts in 3 years if the poll I just saw is true- in 2022, he was 17 pts more popular than Trump in TX in the exit polls.

Beto - Come to US-24, Beth Van Duyne's district. I think there are plenty of pragmatic R's here who are tired of the fact that all this woman does is send us a newsletter with glamour shots of her at ribbon-cuttings and really important groups like the Quail Association (not that there's anything wrong with hunting and eating quail) while our SS and Medicaid are cut.

As I heard Beto say in a rally here long ago - "As goes Tarrant Country, so goes Texas". I would add as goes Texas, so goes the US.

Uvalde,Montgomery,Angelina,Collin,Bell,Liberty,Brazoria,Grimes,Galveston,McLennan,Lubbock,Cameron,Orange,Matagorda.

Local elections are coming up! This is where we can hold our ground. We should also be supporting Democratic candidates for mayor and city council! Gina Ortiz Jones is the front runner in San Antonio but Abbott has pledged to throw his full force behind Clayton Perry. We cannot let him win! City Council district 9 in San Antonio is at risk of flipping red. Again, we can’t let that happen. Folks often look to national representatives and national events. It starts local, y’all!!!

As a registered voter in District 9, there are at least 2 super good candidates in District 9, Gina Ortiz Jones AND Angi Taylor Aramburu. Let’s not let let Red win anything here! Show up and speak out and VOTE!

Thank you for the words of encouragement! I’m a believing kind of person so I have to also remind myself that the signs of hope are definitely not because T is doing okay but because the judges are holding the guardrails and people are putting on pressure. (I just wish the legislature would get with it!) We can’t let up on any front.

I am so burned out and terrified that when push comes to shove…will SCOTUS and our Military do what’s right? I’m afraid they will not.

I’m so afraid for our young people. This Administration has caused (now 2x) so much emotional, mental and physical trauma.
