That deputy committed cold-blooded murder and he must be arrested and charged right away! It is unconscionable that a week has passed and he has not been held accountable for murdering that young man!

How is this happening in America and nobody is doing anything to change or stop it? How is this the first time that I and so many others who regularly follow the news are hearing about it?

Arrest that killer!

It’s called corruption within the departments. They protect each other, and the ones that know right from wrong are afraid to speak up and out!

Then they are all guilty and should be charged for obstructing justice.

It happens all too often. They are the reason to make people consider Defund the Police. Though the remedy is to reform community safety and police training.

That is horrific! I am SO sorry for that young man; his friends, and his family! Thank you for your work and that of Eugene Howard as well.

We should look at this young man’s beautiful face and think of our own sons.

This is tragic to the nth degree.

💔😔🥺😢😭🤬😩🫩😵‍💫😯My heart breaks for this family and this community. I hope this sheriff’s deputy IS brought to justice and faces the full strength of the law.

This was an absolute execution in cold blood. This officer should be in jail behind bars and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Absolute tragedy as my thoughts and prayers are with the family and yes we need a change across this country, especially in Texas!

Firing squad time!

Justice required. No truth, no justice. No trust, no truth, no justice. Have some f’ing integrity Texas.

I wouldn’t step foot in Texas if you paid me now.it is a beautiful state where I lived briefly years ago.

Texans, have some pride. Stop being that state. Thanks for this, Beto.

Elect Howard, elect Talerico.

Carol Nichols's avatar

Yes, but we have faith in James Taralico & they can’t shut him up! I’ve got his sign in my yard & he’s an extremely intelligent man that’s empathetic & won’t back down like Beto. These two men don’t cower & certainly can’t be bribed. It will probably get ugly but Mr. Taralico is going to be our first Democratic senator in years because his campaign is well funded & we are determined to stop the corrupted government under Don old & Abbutt.

I was born & raised in S Texas, moved to NM over 30 yrs ago. Almost all of my extended family are still there & voted for DT 3 X. Any Texan who can’t bring themselves to vote for Talarico over that criminal Paxton, can just forget about trying to convince me they are a Christian.

angela Hayden's avatar

I’m in Texas, and I agree with you 💯%. The ugly side is trying so hard to taint our new answer, Talarico, and they sound so ignorant and would rather have a criminal voted in. 🤦‍♀️

Carol Nichols's avatar

That’s the big plan; Talarico & Gina Hinojosa. If we can elect a woman governor AGAIN, then we’re going full steam ahead restoring decency, kindness & empathy. I don’t socialize much & don’t need many people in my life anymore. I choose to live alone & don’t need a man.🤣 Just my daughter, grandson & a few dear friends & I’m content. I don’t even need people to like what I say & definitely don’t need compliments.😆

TEXAS! How apropo!

But this is EVERYWHERE!!! 🤬

I hope the Texas Rangers will get to the bottom of this quickly. Its not a good sign that the Sheriff is not coming forward to the community with facts in the case so far and his plan of action.

Shameful that this young man was murdered. I do hope the officer is charged with this cold blooded murder. This was just harassment plain and simple I can see why this young man didn’t stop. I guess if you aren’t Caucasian you can’t use parks in Texas! This is so wrong! I feel like we are going back to the late 50’s and early 60’s in our country. Trump and his MAGA’s are taking us back in time😪💔😡

I cannot get past this horrific murder! We have problems in Texas sheriffs’ departments. I know of a case personally but I never got the man’s last name before he returned to Arkansas. I met him in our neighborhood park & got to visiting with him some days when I walked my dog. He was an older black man who was moving to Texas to marry his fiancée when he was pulled over by a county sheriff’s deputy late at night. He wouldn’t pull over in the dark because he knew the danger so he drove a mile or 2 to find a well lit area before he stopped. He was given a breathalyzer test & arrested. He spent a year in county jail & after all that time learned he passed the test. Yet his car & all his belongings were gone to pay the impound fees & he was broke, sickly & released to his fiancée’s family. I met him & slowly learned his story. I’ll never forget that broken man & now his cellphone number was deleted & I can’t check in him in Arkansas. He’s either dead or gave up his phone. He deserves justice also when we get our country back to decency.

Heartbreaking and this crap goes on all the time!

So sorry and so ashamed that in 2026 we still haven’t gotten over the blind hatred and discrimination towards something as trivial as skin color.

The cop committed murder, there are two witnesses,

there is no reason that the cop, sheriff, murderer shouldn’t be arrested and charged. That young man had a promising future stolen from him because a man who’s job it is to keep people safe murdered him for no other reason than his own personal bigotry.

This story breaks my heart. Justice delayed is justice denied.

The police are assassinating children after stalking them for hours. Murdererous berserker cops.

The murderer needs to be held accountable! We are better than this

God in heaven, but this is horrific! God save us. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of the murdered youth. Unspeakable crime by law enforcement. God save us.

Infuriating. No cop should ever get away with something like this. Just heartbreaking.

It certainly seems as if we've entered an era where, more and more, any authority can murder you for simply jumping in the wrong direction when they say jump.
